Privacy Policy

1. Information we collect

Account information may include name, email address, mobile number, country or messaging region, authentication information, plan, billing identifiers and account settings. Queue and appointment information may include guest name, phone number, email address, party size, service choice, appointment date and time, address, notes, queue status and related activity. Technical information may include security logs, device or browser information, IP-derived security data, session identifiers and diagnostic events.

2. Google sign-in

If you choose Google sign-in, TurnBuzz requests basic OpenID profile information needed to authenticate you, including a verified email address, profile name and Google account identifier. TurnBuzz does not receive your Google password. Google sign-in users may be asked to complete their TurnBuzz mobile contact profile separately.

3. How information is used

We use information to create and secure accounts, operate queues and appointments, determine available communication routes, show live queue status, deliver requested notifications, manage plans and billing, prevent abuse, provide support, diagnose service issues, improve reliability, enforce our Terms and comply with legal obligations.

4. Queue owners and guest data

A business or organization operating a TurnBuzz queue determines what information it requests from its guests and how that information is used for its operations. TurnBuzz processes that information to provide the service. If you are a guest seeking access, correction or deletion of information submitted to a specific business queue, contacting that queue owner first may be the fastest route; TurnBuzz can assist where appropriate.

5. Service providers

TurnBuzz may use service providers for cloud infrastructure, database hosting, messaging, payment processing, identity services, email, security and operational support. Depending on the feature used, providers may include Cloudflare, Twilio, Stripe and Google. Providers receive only the information reasonably necessary for the service they provide and are subject to their own legal and contractual obligations.

6. Payments

When paid subscriptions are enabled, payment processing may be handled by Stripe or another payment provider. TurnBuzz is designed not to receive or store full payment-card numbers. We may retain payment-provider customer identifiers, plan information and transaction records needed for billing, accounting, fraud prevention and support.

7. Appointment and queue notifications

Where a guest consents to communications, TurnBuzz may use the supplied mobile number or email address to send booking confirmations, reminder texts, queue-turn alerts, check-in messages, WhatsApp messages where enabled, email and mobile push notifications. TurnBuzz does not place automated voice calls. Delivery records and errors may be retained for operational and troubleshooting purposes.

8. Retention

TurnBuzz aims to keep personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, to provide the service, resolve disputes, maintain security and meet legal or accounting obligations. Anonymous temporary queues may expire automatically. Account-owned operational data is generally retained while the account remains active unless the account owner deletes specific information or deletes the account.

9. Account deletion

Account holders can request self-service deletion from the Account page. Deletion removes the TurnBuzz profile and owned operational data from the active service, including owned queues and associated queue records, subject to limited retention described in the Data Retention & Account Deletion Policy. Data may remain for a limited period in backups, security records, billing systems or records that must be retained by law.

Deleting a TurnBuzz account does not cancel an active paid subscription. To cancel a subscription, email support@turnbuzz.com.

10. Access, correction and privacy requests

You may contact us to ask about personal information TurnBuzz holds about you, request access or correction, or raise a privacy concern. We may need to verify identity before completing a request. Some information may be retained where required or permitted by law.

11. Security

TurnBuzz uses technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse or alteration. Measures include hashed credentials and PINs, HttpOnly session cookies, access controls, rate limiting, administrative session protection and encrypted HTTPS transport. No system can guarantee absolute security, so users must also protect their credentials, PINs and devices.

12. Cross-border processing

Some service providers may process or store information in jurisdictions outside your province or country. Information handled in another jurisdiction may be subject to the laws and lawful-access rules of that jurisdiction.

13. Cookies and session storage

TurnBuzz uses essential cookies and similar storage needed for authentication, queue administration, kiosk access, security and OAuth state verification. See the Cookie Policy for details.

14. Children

TurnBuzz accounts are intended for people authorized to operate a business or organizational service. Queue owners should not knowingly request unnecessary information from children. Where a minor uses a queue, the responsible business and parent or guardian should ensure the interaction is appropriate and lawful.

15. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy when TurnBuzz features, providers or legal requirements change. Material changes will be communicated in a reasonable manner.
